Quick start · Step 4 of 4
What's next?
Your channel is connected, your products are in and your locations are set up. These three short guides cover what you'll do day to day.
Managing and fulfilling orders
Orders from every connected channel land in one list under Orders.
- Go to Orders. Use the All locations dropdown to see one location's orders, and click any order number to see its details in a side panel.
- For an open order, click the ⋮ menu at the end of its row and choose Verify Address to check the shipping address.
- From the same menu, choose Send To Location to assign the order to the location that will ship it.
- Once it ships, the order usually moves to Closed on its own.
What each status means
- Open Active and ready to be fulfilled.
- On Hold Paused. It won't ship until you release it.
- Error Something needs fixing, such as the address or stock. Fix it, then re-open the order.
- Closed Fulfilled. Orders usually close on their own once they ship.
- Cancelled Won't be fulfilled. Kept for your records.
Working on many orders at once? Tick their checkboxes, and a toolbar appears at the bottom of the screen with Hold Orders, Release Hold and Send to Location. Show More Actions has the rest.
Before you cancel: cancelling an order in OmniOrders doesn't cancel it at your 3PL or warehouse. Check with them first, so it doesn't ship anyway.

Updating inventory availability
For every product at every location, OmniOrders tracks three numbers:
- On Hand: the units physically there.
- Committed: units reserved for orders that haven't shipped yet.
- Available: On Hand minus Committed. This is what you can still sell, and it shows in red if you've oversold.
Locations connected to a 3PL or Amazon MCF update their stock on their own. For locations you run yourself, update it here:
- Go to Products › Inventory and tick the products you want to change.
- In the toolbar at the bottom, click Update Quantities.
- Choose Increase (stock received), Decrease (damaged or lost) or Set To (after a count), then pick the location and type the quantity.
- Check the preview, then click Update Quantities. Every change is logged in the product's history.
Get warned before you run out. Tick products, click Show More Actions › Update Any Field, choose Min Stock, enter a number and click Update Fields. Products at or below it are flagged in the inventory list. Max Stock works the same way for overstock.

Purchasing and transfers
Bring in new stock from a supplier, or move stock you already have between locations.
OmniOrders tracks what you ordered against what arrives. You can add suppliers under Suppliers first, or start without one.
- Go to Supply Chain › Purchase Orders, open Actions and choose Create purchase order.
- Pick the supplier (or None), then the location receiving the stock under Select Warehouse Location.
- Click Add product, click + next to each SKU you want, then Close. Type the quantity into the location's column until Unassigned shows 0.
- On Delivery Sites, check the location has a contact and an address. If not, click the pencil next to Ship To and fill them in.
- Save it as a draft, or save and confirm it. A confirmed purchase order can't be edited.
When it arrives: at a location you run yourself, open the purchase order, click the shipment and click Process, then enter what you received box by box and click Receive Items. At a 3PL or Amazon, they receive it in their system and the stock syncs in.

Move stock from one of your locations to another. You need at least two locations, and stock at the one it leaves from.
- Go to Supply Chain › Transfers and click + Create Transfer.
- Pick the location the stock leaves from, then where it goes, then the SKUs and quantities.
- Check the delivery address, as for a purchase order, and look over the preview.
- Click Continue and choose Save as draft or Create Transfer.
