Quick start · Step 1 of 4
Connect your first channel
Start with the store or marketplace where most of your orders come from. Once it's connected, its orders, products and stock flow into OmniOrders.
Navigation and search
The sidebar on the left groups everything by area: Dashboard, Orders, Products, Supply Chain, Automation and Communication. Channels live under Automation.
- Go to Automation › Integrations. The channels you've already connected are listed on the left, with a Search box to find one.
- Click + Add Integration at the top right. This opens the catalog of every channel you can connect.
- Type the channel's name in the catalog's Search box, or narrow the list with the Type filters. Then click your channel's tile.
Tip: hold Cmd while clicking a sidebar item to open it in a new tab at the top of the app, so you can keep Integrations open while you work elsewhere.
Authentication: OAuth or credentials
Channels connect in one of two ways. Which one depends on the channel, not on you.
You sign in on the channel's own site and approve access. OmniOrders never sees your password. Used by Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, eBay, Etsy, Square, TikTok Shop and Walmart.
- Pick the channel from the catalog and start the connection.
- You're sent to the channel. Sign in with an admin or owner account and review the permissions OmniOrders asks for.
- Approve access. The button's name depends on the channel, such as Authorize or Allow.
- You're sent back to OmniOrders, and the channel appears in your Integrations list.
Shopify works a little differently. Start from OmniOrders on the Shopify App Store and click Install, then Install again to approve the permissions. On the Integrate with Shopify page, type https://app.omniorders.com in the Redirect URI box and click LOGIN. The box looks filled in, but the gray address is only an example, and you can't continue without typing it.
If a channel later shows Reconnect Required, click Reconnect and approve access again. Some channels expire access from time to time.
You create API keys in the channel's admin and paste them into OmniOrders. Used by WooCommerce, BigCommerce and EDI connections.
- In the channel's admin, create API credentials for OmniOrders with read and write access. For WooCommerce that's a Consumer Key and Consumer Secret; for BigCommerce, a Client ID, an Access Token and your store hash; for EDI, the connection details from your EDI provider.
- In OmniOrders, pick the channel from the catalog and click Config Service.
- Fill in the form with the credentials and your store details, then connect.
Copy secrets straight away. Some channels show a secret only once, such as WooCommerce's Consumer Secret. If you lose it, create a new key and update it in OmniOrders.
Selling through your own channel? The built-in OMNIO local channel needs no sign-in or keys. The integrations docs have a guide for every channel.
Settings
Each connected channel has a Settings tab where you choose what syncs. Shopify is shown here; other channels have similar options.
- In Automation › Integrations, click your channel. It opens on the Monitoring tab; switch to Settings.
- Turn on Import Orders, Import Products, Sync Inventory and Sync Update Tracking. Import Orders starts switched off, so check it.
- Scroll down and click Save Changes. The button only appears after you change something, and nothing is kept until you click it, so don't leave the page first.
Which orders come in: by default, orders that are open, unfulfilled and paid, so an unpaid test order won't appear. You can change these filters, including Financial Status, in the Orders section of the same Settings tab.
To check it's working: the Monitoring tab has Order Logs, Jobs and Inventory Logs.
To stop syncing: click Pause on the Settings tab.
